Another excellent short story. I really like this author's work. In this creepy little tale, Rebecca is haunted by a dream of a strange creature who is mourning for his lost love. I would have liked to read more about the creature and Rebecca, but for a short story, it tells the tale well. It's worth a read.Product details

A surprisingly good horror-supernatural short story. I am not a fan of horror books, movies or camp fire stories; Stephen King is brilliant but not my cup of tea. I was able to 'borrow' this book, so if it was terrible, I wasted time and not money.
However, Cryptic Dreams surprised me!! There was no 'violence' or 'keep your eyes awake' all night type of gore. This was complex about a girl who loses her boyfriend, is disturbed in the wee hours of the night by 'something' and then finds she has lost her memories of her boyfriend and everything they once shared. Losing love twice, can anyone survive the things that go bump in the middle of the night?
The ending will leave you wondering what really happened. . . such a complex short story. If all horror, super-natural books and movies were written similar to this, I would read more. I would highly recommend Cryptic Dreams.
